GONDAN delivered SOV Edda Mistral

At the end of last week, the second SOV (Service Operation Vessel) built in Spain, Edda Mistral, was delivered.

Built by GONDAN for the Norwegian shipowner Østensjø Rederi A / S, the vessel will operate for Ørsted, in Race Bank and Hornsea Project One windfarms, off the coast of the United Kingdom.

Edda Mistral, as well as her already delivered sister vessel, Edda Passat, have about 81 m length and 17 m beam. They have the capacity to accommodate up to 40 technicians who will perform maintenance tasks in these wind farms, and a crew of about 20 people.

Both vessels are equipped with an UPTIME 23 m length heave compensated “walk-to-work” gangway, a cutting edge 3D compensated crane and a CTV landing system with bunkering facility. In addition to the gangway, the vessel is equipped with a Helideck and a 11 m daughter craft that will allow the safe transfer of maintenance technicians to the offshore wind turbines.
