GONDAN delivered the GRP catamaran “Pirata de Canexol”
Yesterday, GONDAN delivered the GRP catamaran “Pirata de Canexol” to Naviera Nabia. After successfully completing its sea trials program, including tests of the behavior of the hull sailing against waves of two meters (Hs), the shipyard and the passenger ship company signed the vessel’s protocole of delivery and acceptance.
The 24 meters long and 8 meters width vessel, which can comfortable carry up to 250 passengers, is the first passenger catamaran made with this new highly optimized hull, patented by GONDAN, and that is built with special side conducts designed to displace water from the waves during navigation, which has proven to exceed expectations of navigation and seakeeping.
The catamaran will head to the Ria de Vigo next week to begin its operation immediately.
